Democracy School – XXIV generation

CCE and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung announces an OPEN CALL for participants of the XXIV generation of

DEMOCRACY SCHOOL
- school for learning democracy from theory to practice -

School comprises of 5 modules in total duration of four months. The sessions will be held once or twice a week, in duration of two hours. All expenses are covered by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), with obligation of the participants to attend not less than 80% of the programme. Upon finishing of the School the participants shall receive a certificate and be eligible for further educational development.

Eligible candidates are those who want to contribute to development of democracy and civic society in Montenegro. All candidates are welcome, regardless of age, gender, nationality, religion or personal convictions, with the indication that advantage will be given to the activists of the political parties and non-governmental organisations, as well as all individuals who are demonstrating high level of social activism.

The programme of the Democracy School is designed in such a manner to offer wider understanding of the democracy idea and forms in which that idea is implemented within various social spheres.

School moderator is professor Radovan Radonjic, PhD, and beside him eminent domestic and foreign lecturers will be working with participants.

OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSALS

for the support of civil society organization (CSO) projects in Montenegro in
the field of human rights

Your project proposals, which should contribute to strengthening of the role of civil society in promoting human rights and democratic reforms in Montenegro, in supporting the peaceful conciliation of group interests and in consolidating political participation and representation, should be submitted by 20 May 2014.

Eligible CSOs for this competition should meet the following criteria:

  • to be registered as an association of citizens at least twelve months prior to the announcement of this competition;
  • to be based in Montenegro;
  • to be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their co-applicant (if any), not acting as an intermediary.

for support to projects of civil society organisations in Montenegro

You may submit your project proposals, that should contribute to fight against discrimination and promote equality, in English language, until 30 April 2014, and you will be notified on results of the competition approximately until 10 May 2014. Signing of the contract will be conducted upon the publication of the results. Project activities must be completed until 10 September 2014. Financial and narrative reports on implemented project must be submitted until 20 September 2014.
