Centre for Civic Education (CCE) is opening its doors to the 15th generation of interns who wish to gain practical experience, learn first-hand how the civil society sector operates, and put their knowledge and interests into practice through meaningful engagement.
The internship programme lasts two months, from 16 October to 16 December 2026, with the possibility of continued cooperation in different capacities.
Three positions are available:
Democratisation and Europeanisation – 1 position
Human Rights – 1 position
Active Citizenship – 1 position
WHAT DOES AN INTERNSHIP AT CCE OFFER?
The programme is intended for those who wish to:
- gain experience that will support their further education and help shape their future career path;
- become familiar with project management concepts and working methods in the NGO sector;
- take part in the preparation and implementation of conferences, seminars, workshops, panel discussions, the FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro, and other events and initiatives;
- work on topics related to democracy, European integration, human rights and active citizenship;
- develop teamwork, communication, research and organisational skills;
- meet representatives of institutions, domestic and international organisations, the media and other stakeholders relevant to their chosen field;
- learn what teamwork means in practice;
- contribute to initiatives that have a tangible impact on the community.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Applications are open to undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students in the social sciences, as well as to those who completed their studies no more than one year prior to the publication of this call.
The application deadline is 1 October 2026 at 12:00.

If applying for two or more programmes, applicants should indicate their preferences by ranking them from 1 to 3.
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME LOOK LIKE?
An internship at CCE is not about observing the work from the sidelines. Selected interns become part of the programme team’s day-to-day work and, with mentoring support, participate in the implementation of ongoing projects, research, events, campaigns and other activities.
The programme also provides interns with a broader understanding of how the civil society sector in Montenegro operates, as well as of the areas in which CCE works. Each intern will work closely with programme coordinators to ensure that, over the course of the two-month programme, they gain as much practical knowledge and experience as possible.
The internship programme does not constitute an employment relationship and is unpaid.
