Center for Civic Education (CCE)

announces a

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

for participants of the programme

EUROPEAN CAFÉ

European Café is a series of interactive discussions that offer young people the opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences with ambassadors of EU member states, officials of the Government of Montenegro, and representatives of EU institutions in an open and informal atmosphere.

The objective of the European Café is to encourage a better understanding of the European integration process and its importance for young people in Montenegro through dialogue, exchange of ideas, and open discussion – both in terms of current affairs and the values and principles on which the EU is founded. Special emphasis will be placed on how young people can contribute to this process — through their ideas, initiatives, and active participation in social life.

Over the course of one month, the CCE will organize four thematically structured sessions lasting from 60 to 80 minutes. Each session will focus on a specific topic related to the challenges, obligations, and opportunities for young people in the EU accession process. The discussions will take place in an informal atmosphere, moderated by the CCE team, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share opinions, and learn through direct communication with decision-makers who shape European policies or policies that guide Montenegro toward the EU.

Who can apply?

Students, activists, journalists, researchers, and young professionals are welcome to apply.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a high level of social engagement in various fields (public, non-governmental, media, business, academic, or cultural sectors, as well as student organizations and political parties).

How and when to apply?

Applications will be accepted until 5 November, noting that the first European Café will be held on 31 October, and the last one on 28 November – therefore, those who apply earlier will have a greater chance to participate in the initial sessions!

Applications should be submitted via the online form: https://forms.gle/SiWk8PKJTknmS1p48.

All applicants will be notified in a timely manner about the outcome of the call, and the selected participants will later receive a detailed programme and schedule.

Participation in the program is free of charge for the selected participants.
