Centre for Civic Education (CCE) announces a
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
for participants in the training for social studies teachers
The programme will offer social studies teachers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with new methodological approaches to teaching history, the historical context of the 1990s, the concept and significance of transitional justice, as well as the details of widespread human rights violations during this period, through both theoretical and practical work.
During the training, the recently published manual War Crimes of the 1990s in the Verdicts of Montenegrin Judiciary will also be presented, providing a comprehensive overview of key facts from the 1990s, which is crucial for understanding Montenegro’s recent history and its consequences.
The training will be held from 25 to 26 October 2024 at the Castellastva Hotel in Petrovac.
The organizer will cover transportation, accommodation, and meal expenses.
The call is open to all social studies teachers from primary and secondary schools in Montenegro.
Interested candidates can apply by sending a short biography and a motivation letter to info@cgo-cce.org with the subject “Application for Teacher Training,” no later than 18 October at 18h00. The number of participants is limited to 25.
This activity is part of the project Education for the Future – Transitional Justice for Reconciliation, supported under the regional project EU Support for Confidence Building in the Western Balkans, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
