The publication provides insight into joint efforts aimed at empowering civil society organizations (CSOs) in Montenegro. Through the M’BASE programme, 91 projects across the country have been supported, creating a platform for enhancing organizational capacities, strengthening local communities, and stimulating social change in critical areas such as democratization and Europeanization, youth development, gender equality, environmental protection, other aspects of human rights, education, anti-corruption, and more.

“50+ Inspirations: How CSOs Transform Society” presents a selection of over 50 project stories that reflect the successes and impact of CSOs on the quality of life of Montenegro’s citizens. These stories testify to the dedication, innovative approaches, and vision of organizations that have driven change at both local and national levels. While many other projects are equally worthy of attention, the selected examples


This publication was created as part of the programme “CSOs in Montenegro – From Basic Services to Policy Shaping - M’BASE”, implemented by the CCE in partnership with the German Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), the NGO Centre for Protection and Research of Birds of Montenegro (CZIP), and the NGO Politikon Network, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of European Affairs of the Government of Montenegro. The project is funded by the European Union and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.
