Aleksa Janković holds a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Donja Gorica (UDG) and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro (UoM). He is scholar of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) and member of the European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN), whose numerous programmes he attended. He has further specialized in areas such as security, state and societal governance, religion, identity, and nationalism in Austria and North Macedonia, as well as the role of youth in the European integration process in Albania and Belgium, including a study visit to EU institutions in Brussels. Additional knowledge in civic engagement and youth activism he gained through programmes of the the EU Info Centre and the EU Delegation to Montenegro. During his studies, he attended e-Viva workshops on service-oriented competencies, organized by Erasmus+ and UDG. He was a member of UDG’s team at the Regional Moot Court Competition in 2022 in Serbia, a simulation of proceedings at the European Court of Human Rights, organized by Civil Rights Defenders, and a member of UoM’s team at the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition 2024, held in Austria. He has completed a media literacy course organized by the Digital Forensic Centre (DFC) and certified training for provision of support to women who have experienced violence, organized by SOS Hotline for Women and Children Victims of Violence Podgorica. Previously, he worked as legal trainee at Vukmirović Mišić and JPM Partners Montenegro law offices, project assistant at the British Council Montenegro office, and project coordinator at the NGO For the Progress of Zagarač. He is the co-author of several academic papers. Fluent in English and Slovenian, with knowledge of Italian.
