Alma Novalić completed undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Montenegro, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Social Policy and Social Work. Additionally, she completed the Small School of Challenging Patriarchy and the Public Advocacy School organized by the NGO Women’s Rights Center (WRC) in Podgorica, as well as the Women’s Studies programme led by the Centre for Women’s Studies in Zagreb. She was one of the speakers at the 8 March protest in Podgorica in 2024. She enhanced knowledge in freedom of expression and identifying hate speech through programs organized by the Human Rights Action (HRA). She developed skills in working with vulnerable groups through programmes of the Institute for Social and Child Protection, the Social Innovation Institute Foundation, and the NGO Defendology. Also, she gained expertise in civic activism and engagement in democratic processes through seminars held by the NGO CEGAS and NGO Glas. She attended a course Python for Beginners, Digitalize All: 1, 2, 3 – Security; Information Literacy; Communication and Collaboration on the Bitology ONLINE platform. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at the Association of the Blind of Montenegro and served as the operational team coordinator for the NGO National Smile of Montenegro, a project focused on collecting donations for the residents of the Children’s Home “Mladost” in Bijela. She has a working knowledge of English.
