is announcing a call for applications for a
TRAINING PROGRAMME
ON PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISM, INNOVATIVE MEDIA TOOLS AND MEDIA LITERACY
This one-day programme is designed to strengthen participants’ skills in navigating the contemporary media environment.
During the programme, participants will:
- gain practical skills in modern journalism,
- explore innovative digital and media tools,
- learn how to collect, analyse and use data,
- improve their understanding of media literacy and critical thinking.
Who can apply
The call is open to students of journalism, media and communications at universities across Montenegro, as well as to young journalists who are at the beginning of their journalism careers.

To apply, please send your CV by 10 May 2026 at the latest to media@cgo-cce.org, with the subject line: Application – TRAINING – NAME AND SURNAME.
The programme will be held on 14 May 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Podgorica, and all costs for the 20 selected participants will be covered by the organiser. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection process, regardless of whether they are selected or not.
The programme is part of the MEdIA – Lit project (Advancing Media and Information Literacy for Democratic Participation), implemented by the CCE in partnership with the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia, the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Tirana Centre for Journalistic Excellence in Albania, and the Atlantic Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is funded by the European Union, with co-financing from the Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organisations of the Government of Montenegro.
