Dr Wiktor Osiatynski is a University Professor at Central European University in Budapest and Warsaw, member of the Board of the Open Society Institute and of a number of OSI Sub Boards. He has tought at many American and European universities, including Columbia, Stanford, Harvard, Chicago, Connecticut and Siena. His main field of scholarly interest have been comparative constitutional law and human rights. In 1990s, Osiatynski was an advisor to a number of constitutional drafting committees and was a Co-director of the Center for the Study of Constitutionalism in Eastern Europe at the University of Chicago Law School. Osiatynski has written 20 books, a majority of them about the comparative history of social and political thought, history of sociological and political ideas, constitutionalism, etc. He is the author of over 500 articles, essays, interviews and commentaries published in prestigious scholarly and popular magazines.
