Today in Podgorica, Daliborka Uljarević, Executive Director of the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) and Božidar Vuksanović, PhD, Director of the Administration for Inspection Affairs, have signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.
This Memorandum refers to the cooperation within the project “Through the inspection against the corruption” for which the CCE received the support of the Criminal Justice Civil Society Program – CJCSP funded by the U.S. State Department. The purpose of the Memorandum is is to determine the modes of cooperation, coordination and exchange of information during the project implementation.
The overall objective of the project „Through the inspection against the corruption” is to contribute to the increase of public trust in the criminal justice sector through implementation of effective watchdog activities to track the government responses to illegall activities and corruption. The specific objective of the project is to monitor the activities and enhance capacities of the Administration for Inspection Affairs and inspection units as the first and citizens’ closest instrument to tackle corruption and misconduct in the work. As stated by the Administration for Inspection Affairs, this objective derives from the role that the Administration for Inspection Affairs has within the implementation of activities from the Action Plan for Chapter 23.
In this context, the signatory parties shall commit themselves to cooperation in the implementation of activities with respect to the required meetings and consultations in order to ensure access to relevant data regarding the area covered by the project.
