Centre for Civic Education (CCE) and Ministry of Interior have today, in accordance with Article 80 of the Law on State Administration and respecting established mechanisms of cooperation practices between state administration and civil society organizations, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Memorandum was signed by Daliborka Uljarević, executive director of CCE and Goran Danilović, Minister of the Interior.
Ministry of Interior and CCE will cooperate within the project “Think Locally – Act Locally! – Fight against Corruption at the Local Level” in the framework of its legal jurisdiction and missions, while the Memorandum determines modalities of this cooperation, coordination and exchange of information during implementation of this project, but also other related activities.
Overall objective of the project “Think Locally – Act Locally! – Fight against Corruption at the Local Level” is to contribute to civil society participation in implementation of anti-corruption policies through monitoring, reporting and watchdog activities at the local level in Montenegro. Specific objective of the project is to increase capacities of small civil society organisations in Montenegro to monitor anti-corruption strategies and activities at the local level through exchange of information, experience and financial support.
Project “Think Locally – Act Locally! – Fight against Corruption at the Local Level” is being implemented by CCE with partners – NGO Bonum from Pljevlja, NGO Incubator from Kotor, Centre for Investigative Journalism from Podgorica, with the support of EU Delegation to Montenegro.
Svetlana Pešić, programme associate
