Seventh edition of FAST FORWARD 2016 Human Rights Film Festival starts on 10 December in Montenegrin National Theatre (MNT), which will be also CCE’s contribution of marking the International Human Rights Day.
The opening will be announced by the film “Free” at 17h30. After the screening, Tomislav Žaja, director of movie, will address the public. “Free” is a documentary movie which follows its characters throughout the period of two years. Movie plot starts by showing us several institutions which we see, but also feel, how it looks like to be isolated and deprived of any right, privacy or decision-making possibility with regards to one’s life. To be free is the dream of all people who live in those institutions. After the departure from the institution, we witness their change. We look at the main actors who try to fulfil their dreams, but this time around, from their own perspective. Precisely because of that perspective we begin to ponder about our own lives, our freedom and society – the same society which deprived these people of decades of their lives.
