Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information (AZLP), acting on the initiative submitted by the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), issued a decision assessing that the State Election Commission (SEC), contrary to the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law assigned the tasks of processing signatures of support to the employees of the Parliament of Montenegro, engaged in these tasks before the Parliamentary elections held on 30 August 2020.
This decision confirmed the previous position of the CCE that the engaged officials do not have valid basis for processing these data. The CCE welcomes the subsequent prudence of the Agency for Personal Protection Data, which made this decision despite the minutes of the conducted supervision in which no irregularities were identified.
