Centre for Civic Education (CCE) publishes a list of persons who received the so-called honorary citizenship from 26 May 2008 to 2 November 2022.
It is a total of 1072 persons, and in the last two years, the number of granted citizenships on this privileged basis has been growing dramatically.
All the data, the CCE received, based on the Free Access to Information Law, from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which does not proactively publish this data even though it is of indisputable public importance.
