Public call for participants in training for secondary and primary school teachers

The Centre for Civic Education (CCE) announces

PUBLIC CALL
for
participants in training teachers of secondary and primary school in the social science group of subjects for the use of modern teaching methods in teaching multiculturalism

The public call is open to all primary and secondary school teachers in the social science subjects in the territory of Montenegro who are interested in expanding their knowledge of using modern teaching methods in teaching multiculturalism.

The aim of the training is for teachers to be encouraged through learning about modern teaching methods to work towards the effective implementation of the best international practices in teaching/learning and promoting the culture of minority peoples and other minority communities as an integral part of human rights.

The two-day training will include lectures and workshops focusing on multiculturalism, interculturalism, as well as the application of modern methods in teaching about minority cultures. Special attention will be given to designing practical work, as a combination of theoretical and interactive approaches, with an emphasis on active adult learning methods.

During the training, auxiliary material will be presented in detail, which will be useful to participants in their future practical work. All participants will receive a certificate of completion of the training.

The training will take place on 29 and 30 April 2024, in Kolašin, at the Bianca Hotel. The organizer will cover the costs of organization, accommodation, and transportation of participants.

The application includes a short biography with contact information (basic data, school name, subject taught by the teacher), and it should be sent by email to info@cgo-cce.org, with the subject: APPLICATION FOR TEACHER TRAINING.

The deadline for submitting applications is 21 April 2024, and the number of places is limited. Selected participants will be informed about the programme details.

The training is part of the project “Through education to a multicultural society” implemented by the CCE with the financial support of the Fund for the Protection and Realization of Minority Rights.
