Centre for Civic Education (CCE) announces a vacancy for a lawyer to provide legal support within the project Protection of Rights and Promotion of Digital Citizenship – Montenegrin Digital Shield (MDS).
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- providing legal consultations to citizens regarding violations of digital rights (hate speech, online harassment, breaches of privacy, misuse of personal data, fake profiles, etc.);
- analysing cases and issuing legal opinions;
- assisting in the submission of complaints to competent institutions;
- where necessary, representing clients or preparing documentation for proceedings before relevant authorities;
- maintaining records of provided services in compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards;
- participating in legal awareness-raising and public information activities related to digital rights.
Requirements:
- completed law degree (specialist level); a master’s degree will be considered an advantage;
- passed bar exam (considered an advantage);
- minimum of three years of relevant professional experience;
- experience in the fields of human rights, media law, data protection or criminal law;
- knowledge of the national and international legal framework in the areas of freedom of expression and digital rights;
- strong communication and analytical skills;
- high level of professional ethics and responsibility.
Duration of engagement: The engagement will be based on a contractual agreement for the period defined by the project, with a flexible workload depending on the number of reported cases.
