Youth Group of the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) announces a competition for the best photo on the subject:
EUROPE AND ME
Europe and Me is a competition for the best photo that will in original manner present the presence of what young people in Montenegro recognize as European values, standards or heritage. Photo can be any of your view that you believe represents a symbol of one of the values on which the EU is founded, such as: freedom, tolerance, respect for human rights, democracy, solidarity, gender equality, rule of law and environmental protection, and whose presence you recognize in the community where you live.
Eligible candidates have to be to high school pupils or undergraduate students from the territory of Montenegro. All participants of the competition can submit up to three of their photos. The photo is accompanied by: information about the author (name, address, telephone number, e-mail, name of high school or university) and confirmation that the photo is copyrighted by the sender and has not been published yet.
The final decision on selection of the best photos will be made by the jury based on several basic criteria (subject, idea, elaboration and technique). By submitting photos to the competition, authors will automatically accept the terms of this competition, including the use of their photos by the Youth Group of the CCE in promoting non-commercial projects.
Your digital photos, with a minimum width of 3000pixels (longer side), in full resolution, should be sent to the-mail og@cgo-cce.org no later than the 14 October 2011.
The jury will select 50 photos in the first round for semi-final, while in the second round 10 photos will be selected, three of whom will get the cash prizes:
- First prize 300 EUR
- Second prize 200 EUR
- Third prize 100 EUR
Ten photos with the major number of votes of the jury, including three winners, will be made further produced in the form of postcards and sent to the addresses of the most important institutions of the European Union. All fifty photographs from the first round will be at the three days long exhibition available to the public. Opening of the exhibition is planned for 30 October 2011 in Podgorica, when the authors of the best photographs will be awarded.
