Centre for Civic Education (CCE), in cooperation with NGO Hyperion and NGO Clio, on Tuesday, 14 October 2014, at 11h00, at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić, present the film Halima’s path (Halimin put ), by Arsen Anton Ostojić. The film had its premiere in Montenegro at the Fast Forward Human Rights Film Festival 2013.
Halima’s Path tells the tragic but inspiring story of a grief, but also a strong will of a Muslim woman Halima who tries to find mortal remains of her son, who was killed in the Bosnian War and was buried in one of the many mass graves. The film received numerous and prestigious awards around the world.
Screening of the film will be followed by a panel discussion during which all interested students will have opportunity to hear more about importance of dealing with past as a prerequisite for building peace and stability in the area of Western Balkans as well as the establishment of RECOM.
Panelists will be Tamara Milaš, spokesperson for the Coalition for RECOM in Montenegro, and Zoran Mikić, president of the Association for students and young researchers of history Clio.
