Nikola Mirković is finishing specialized studies majoring in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Montenegro, where he previously got a bachelor degree in politology. Through the CEEPUS programme, he spent one semester in Slovakia at the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Matej Bel University, within Europe From Visegrad Perspective programme, expanding his knowledge in the field of political history and the process of democratization of the countries of the Visegrad Group (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary). He began his professional engagement through the Programme of Professional Internship of the Government of Montenegro in the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO), contributing to the writing of several reports from international observation missions. He was an observer of the Center for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) in local elections in Montenegro. He is a certified OSCE/ODIHR election observer. He attended numerous seminars and conferences in Montenegro, the region, and EU countries. Through various capacity-building programmes, organised by non-governmental and international organisations, he enhanced his skills in EU-funded project proposal writing, public advocacy, campaign design and management, and through internal CCE’s training in event organization, conducting tender procedures, free access to information, WordPress usage, communicating EU-funded projects, as well as basics of the Albanian language. As a participant in the Young EUSAIR Communication Academy, he obtained a certificate in the field of communication and digital campaigns. He is co-author of the studies A decade of Montenegrin negotiations with the EU: How to get out of the roundabout? And Young people between marginalization, radicalization, and potential, as well as the author of the publication Well-Paid Extras’ Roles on the Parliamentary Stage, and contributed in drafting multiple other publications, analysis, initiatives and research in the CCE. Fluent in English, speaks Italian and has basic knowledge of the German language.
