Milena Brajović, Finance Director

Milena Brajović graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro, Department of Finance and Accounting, and is currently in the final year of her Master’s studies at the University of Mediterranean, specialising in Accounting and Auditing. She completed a specialization in the non-governmental sector in the field of financial management of projects financed by European Union funds. She began her professional career as an intern in the Department of Finance and Accounting of a political party, where she quickly advanced to the position of Adviser to the Director for Economic Affairs, and subsequently to the Head of the Department for Finance and Accounting. During this period, she gained substantial experience in managing and controlling accounting records for the core budget and 23 separate budget units, as well as in preparing financial plans and financial statements on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis, along with other activities related to financial management and accounting. Through her engagement at the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), she further enhanced her expertise in financial management of projects supported by national and international donors, with a particular focus on projects funded by the European Union. She is actively involved as a trainer in capacity-building programmes on financial planning and project financial management, organised by CCE and other non-governmental organisations, related to projects financed from the state budget of Montenegro and EU funds. More than 250 participants from the civil society sector have attended these trainings. She is a co-author of the publications Financial Alchemy of the University of Montenegro – An Insight into the Financing of the University of Montenegro from 2015 to 2019 and Public Broadcasting Service RTCG – A Newsreel of a Government. Fluent in English, with knowledge of Italian language as well.
