Nikola Mirković is finishing specialized studies majoring in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Montenegro, where he previously got a bachelor degree in politology. He is currently writing a graduate thesis on “Candidate Selection in Parliamentary Elections in the Nordic Countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden)”. Through the CEEPUS programme, he spent one semester in Slovakia at the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Matej Bel University, within Europe From Visegrad Perspective programme, expanding his knowledge in the field of political history and the process of democratization of the countries of the Visegrad Group (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary). He started professional engagement through the Programme of Professional Internship of the Government of Montenegro in the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO), where he participated in writing several reports from international observation missions. He was an observer of the Center for Monitoring and Research (CeMI) at the local elections in Montenegro. He is a certified OSCE/ODIHR election observer. Through different capacity-building programmes, organised by non-governmental and international organisations, he specialised in EU-funded project proposal writing, public advocacy and design and conduct of campaigns. As a participant of the Young EUSAIR Communication Academy, he obtained a certificate in the field of communications and digital campaigns. He is co-author of the study A decade of Montenegrin negotiations with the EU: How to get out of the roundabout?, and he took part in drafting several others publications in the CCE. Fluent in English, with basic knowledge of Italian and German language.
