announces a call for applications for students for
MEDIA LITERACY FORUM
In a world full of information, being able to recognise credible sources and understand how media works is more important than ever. The Media Literacy Forum will equip you with practical knowledge and skills that are often missing from formal education and help you navigate today’s complex media landscape.
Through engaging sessions and discussions with experienced lecturers, you will:
- gain a deeper understanding of the role of media in society,
- explore the importance of media literacy in everyday life,
- learn about interviewing techniques and journalistic ethics,
- understand how media regulation and self-regulation work,
- discuss freedom of expression and its limitations,
- develop skills in identifying fake news, misinformation, and manipulation,
- learn how to verify data and sources in the digital environment.

Who can apply?
The Call is open to students from all fields of study, as well as young people interested in media, communication, critical thinking, and social activism. No prior experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

To apply, please send your CV and a short motivation letter (up to 200 words), explaining your interest in the programme, no later than 15 April 2026, by 14:00, via email to media@cgo-cce.org, with the subject: Application – Media Literacy Forum – FULL NAME.
The Media Literacy Forum will be held on 27, 28 and 29 April 2026, in South of Montenegro, with all costs for 20 selected participants covered by the organiser. All applicants will be informed about the outcome of the selection process, regardless of whether they are selected or not.
The Media Literacy Forum is organised within the project MEdIA – Lit (Media Enhancement and Information Literacy for Democratic Engagement), implemented by CCE n partnership with Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia (HCHRS), Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in North Macedonia (MHC), Tirana Centre for Journalistic Excellence in Albania (TCJE), Atlantic Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AI). The project is financed by the European Union and cofinanced by the Ministry of Regional and Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of Montenegro.
