On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, Centre for Civic Education (CCE) on behalf of the Coalition for RECOM organizes street action “I support RECOM”, on 21 September 2013, at the corner of Sloboda and Hercegovačka Street, starting from 11h00.
This action will also be simultaniously held in Zagreb, Ljubljana, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Pristina, Skoplje and Banja Luka, aimting to remind the public on the importance of effective dealing with the past and in this regard founding of the regional commission for establishing the facts about war crimes and other gross violations of human rights commited on the territory of the former Yugoslavia in 1991-2001 (RECOM).
Coalition for RECOM continues to promote the importance of founding of RECOM, by insisting on establishment of the facts about all war crimes, as the only way of public recognition of all the victims, which is a key prerequisite for building of peace, trust and non repetition of committed misdeeds.
International Day of Peace is an opportunity to remind ourselves that the war crimes and victims must not be forgotten, and that we as individuals and society are obliged to work together to build long lasting peace and security for generations that are coming.
Exactly by the action “I support RECOM”, on the International Day of Peace, which is commemorated around the world, such message will send also Montenegro.
