Centre for Civic Education (CCE) announces a

OPEN CALL

for

participants in teacher training for secondary and primary school
on methods of applying museum education in teaching young people and developing their intercultural competences

The call is open to all primary and secondary school teachers in the territory of Montenegro who are interested in expanding their knowledge about the methods of applying museum education in teaching young people and developing their intercultural competences.

The aim of the training is to present teachers with strategies for cooperation with museums in order to create an inspiring, interactive and stimulating environment for understanding and respect for different cultures, identities and perspectives, as well as for the development of intercultural competences among young people.

The two-day training will include lectures and workshops focusing on multiculturalism, interculturalism, museum education, as well as challenges in designing lessons about the cultures of minority communities. Special attention will be given to designing practical lessons, as a combination of theoretical and interactive approaches, with an emphasis on active learning methods for adults.

The training will also provide detailed presentations of materials developed by experts, which will be useful to participants in their future practical work. All participants will receive a certificate of completion of the training.

The training will be held on 8 and 9 April 2024, in Kolašin, at the hotel Bianca. The costs of organization, accommodation and transportation of the participants are carried out by the organizer.

The application includes a short biography with contact information (basic information, name of the school, subject taught by the teacher), and should be sent by e-mail to info@cgo-cce.org, with the subject: APPLICATION FOR TEACHER TRAINING.

The deadline for sending applications is 2 April 2024, and the number of places is limited. Selected participants will be informed about the details of the programme.

The training is part of the project “Bridges of Multiculturalism through Museum Education”, implemented by the CCE with the financial support of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
