Miloš Knežević studied at the Faculty of Philology, University of Montenegro, the study programme in Montenegrin Language and South Slavic Literature. He completed the Human Rights School organized by the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has participated in numerous programmes in the field of human rights, democracy, and youth empowerment in Montenegro and the Western Balkans region. In Germany, he furthered his education in researching the role of youth in understanding and promoting the fundamental values of the European Union, and in Italy and Germany in utilizing theatrical techniques in non-formal youth education. He participated in the Cinema without Borders programme in the Netherlands, as part of the Movies that Matters festival, as a scholar of Amnesty International, and in a training programme on the European concept of civic activism organized within the Homo Europeanus project. During his studies, within the project Student Volunteering – from Segregation to Quality Integration of Roma Students, he worked as a teaching assistant at the “Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin” Elementary School. Additionally, he is a lecturer and trainer in the fields of youth activism, discrimination, multiculturalism and interculturalism, peer violence, human rights, etc., in non-formal education programmes conducted by civil society organizations. Besides CCE, where he began his work experience in the NGO sector as an intern in the Human Rights programme, and then as a PR/programme associate, and later as the director of the FAST FORWARD Festival, he worked at the NGO Young Roma as a project coordinator on social inclusion programmes of the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian population, and at the Montenegrin LGBTIQ Association Queer Montenegro, where he initially held the position of programme coordinator and later executive director. He has participated in numerous conferences in the field of human rights and civil society development, where he also presented as a panellist. He is a co-author of a regional study on the implementation of youth policies in the Western Balkans titled Youth Participation – More Than a Phrase, a Skills portfolio necessary for youth employability at the regional level, and the publication Youth – Social Decor or Social Capital. He is fluent in Macedonian and English and proficient in Italian, Spanish, and French.
