The Informative Meetings are Held with Civil Society Organizations within the Project “Fast Forward Human Rights!”

Centre for Civic Education (CCE) held three informative meetings during the period from April 25 to April 30 with civil society organizations (CSO) from Montenegro within the project “Fast Forward Human Rights!”. These meetings are held in order to present the contest which CCE announced within the project “Fast Forward Human Rights!” for support of CSO projects in Montenegro in the field of human rights in detail.

In order for information to be accessible to organizations from different parts of Montenegro, the first informative meeting was held in Podgorica on April 25 for CSOs that work in the central region of Montenegro, the second meeting was held in Berane on April 28 for organizations from the northern part of Montenegro and the third was held on April 30 in Tivat for organizations from the southern part of Montenegro. At those meetings, the representatives of CCE presented the contest to the all interested CSOs and they clarified the goals, fields and topics that could be supported by the contest, financial aspect, conditions that need to be met by the organization in order to apply for project proposal, as well as the supporting documents needed for the application.

The eligible projects for this contest are the ones that contribute to the strengthening of the role of civil society in human rights promotion and democratic reforms in Montenegro, as well as to the support of peaceful harmonization of group interests and consolidation of participation and representation of citizens in political life. The specific goal of the contest is to improve monitoring and protection of human rights in Montenegro through increased and active participation of civil society organizations.

CCE, thanks to the support of Delegation of EU to Montenegro, ensured the funds for support of smaller projects in total amount of 50,000 EUR, with the minimum amount that can be awarded for the individual projects of 5,000 EUR and the maximum amount is 8,000 EUR. When it comes to partnership projects, the maximum financial support is 12,000 EUR.

The project FAST FORWARD HUMAN RIGHTS is conducted by CCE in cooperation with Civic Initiatives (CI) from Belgrade in the period from November 2013 until January 2015, and it is financed by the European Union within European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights 2013 (EIDHR).
